Piano Teacher
Open position to begin ASAP, to take over an existing studio with enrolled students on Tuesday and Friday afternoons/evenings, plus growth potential!
Compensation: $18-$24/hour. Will vary depending on education, references, and experience.
The primary duties of a Piano Teacher at Academy of Sound are to prepare for and teach private piano lessons to students ages 4 through adult.
Individuals interested in this position should:
- Have a degree in piano performance, music education, or similar, OR be a music major/minor currently -- undergrad is fine.
- We will consider non-music majors.
- Have excellent knowledge of the Piano Adventures, My First Piano Adventure, and Alfred methods
- Have reliable transportation, and zero to few potential conflicts with our teaching schedule
- Be comfortable working with kids and adults in a private lesson setting -- passing of a background check is required
Candidates who are accepted for this position will be expected to be available 5-15 hours per week.
