Game and Fish Warden Recruit

The purpose of this position is to train recruits to become a Fish and Game Warden from the Basic to Operational role. While in training the incumbent will attend and must successfully complete the Department's law enforcement school, complete firearms training and qualify with a duty weapon and become a certified peace officer for the State. The incumbent will be assigned to a New Mexico Game and Fish training officer located throughout the State, who will serve as a mentor and supervisor. The incumbent's training will include training related to the management and propagation of fish and wildlife species within the State. The incumbent will be required to travel extensively within the State to a variety of training assignments.
