Finance / Accounting Intern

The City of Neenah Finance Department is looking for someone who can work 10-15 hours per week mid-November through mid-April. Increased hours from December 15-January 31st to assist with tax collection, financial audit preparation and accounts payable. 

DUTIES:

Cashiering in Treasurer’s Office: Collect funds due the City from taxes, utility bills, and other collection areas. Issue pet licenses, fire and boat launch permits. Balance daily cash drawer.

Financial Audit: Prepare, organize and file accounting records.

Accounting: Prepare and enter journal entries to the City’s general ledger.

 Accounts Payable: Make payments to City vendors via check and credit card.

 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Cash handling experience

High School Diploma

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance
