Intern - Manufacturing Engineer

Position Summary:  
Will assist the Operations Dept. in the review and analysis of daily production data.  The student will be given the opportunity to apply theory learned in an academic setting to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·        Review and analysis of daily production data.
·        Assist in costing machines.
·        Review and analyze Bills of Materials (BOM)
·        Assist in addressing production issues as assigned.
 
 
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities/Key Characteristics:
·           Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering specifications and shop orders.
·           Detail orientation and customer focus.
·           Strong computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office, excel, etc.
·           Ability to work independently
·           Good oral and written communication skills.
·           A team player.
Required Experience, Education and Training:
·           Must be currently attending a college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or similar major – completion of at least one year of course work.
·           An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
