Data Analytics Engineer Intern

Our Business Processing Team is searching for a technically savvy Data Analytics intern to join our team of specialists to develop and support solutions for our Wealth Management business unit. We design and develop data driven solutions, reporting and visualizations that enable business and technology insights and decisions. We currently use the SAS tool suite for data collection, manipulation & reporting of our complex technical systems, and a variety of software including Tableau and Inetsoft for our business and executive level reporting. To be successful, you will possess a positive, collaborative, and upbeat approach, and have strong critical thinking and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
·                 Design, develop, implement and support complex solutions using SAS and other business intelligence software
·                 Assist business and technology users during requirements gathering, design, testing, and implementation phases
·                 Build, manipulate, analyze and verify large and complex datasets
·                 Craft reports and visualizations to present the data in ways that are meaningful, actionable, and understandable
·                 Clearly document data workflows and solution runbooks for end users and support teams
·                 Support other team members through information sharing and cross-training
·                 Seeks opportunities to expand technical knowledge and explore new methods to solve problems
Qualifications:
·        Seeking a degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
·        Ability to research and document existing applications and create new applications following standards  
·        Ability to effectively engage subject matter experts and understand technical topics
·        Ability to work effectively with technical and business experts
·        Exceptional team player who establishes positive working relationships
·        Demonstrated leadership qualities
·        Superb communication skills with the ability to express complex concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
Nice to have:
·        Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as SAS, Tableau, Inetsoft, or Microsoft BI
·        Familiarity with BMC’s Control-M  
·        Hands-on working knowledge and experience with SQL and relational databases
