Equine Breeding Reproduction Internship

Season: January 1-June or longer (based on work performance, potential to stay through the summer)

 -Handling of mares and mares with foals for reproductive exams

 -Observe and assist foaling mares

 -Daily cleaning in breeding barn area, lab and exam area

 -Assist with medical treatments/procedures

 -Assist with preparing overall farm medications daily

 -Assist with reproductive procedures such as breeding, palpations, lavaging, stallion collection, etc.

 -Assist farriers with trimming and shoeing

 -Halter break weanlings
