News Content Manager
Do you have the necessary skills to motivate and inspire a group of award-winning journalists who are always looking to get better? We are looking for someone who knows how to lead in a multi-media world that includes mobile, on-air and online content. You have to inspire people to strive for excellence every single day! The successful candidate will possess the skills to monitor the daily progress of all news stories and be able to break them all down at the end of the day with what worked and what didn’t necessarily work. You will need to mentor reporters and critique their work as well.
WITI FOX 6 produces over 62 hours of local news each week. We have an experienced staff of professional journalists and some of the best photojournalists in the country.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Our next News Content Manager must be a superb motivator and communicator in addition to a creative news strategist. You must have at least 5 years of news management experience and you must get excited about producing, reporting, storytelling, and creating compelling content across multiple platforms. Excellent communication and great time-management skills are a must. A strong can-do attitude with a commitment to teamwork and an open and honest management style are all vital for success in this role.

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will have experience in managing a complex news operation, preferably with 5 years news management experience or equivalent, and a degree in Journalism or related field.
