Public Health Specialist
BLH Technologies, Inc., an award-winning company specializing in public health, communications, technology, and safety monitoring solutions for Federal and commercial clients, is seeking a Public Health Specialist (PHS) to support Federal clients, including those within the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The PHS will be responsible for contributing to reports, manuscripts, and presentations; data management and analysis tasks; and assisting with meetings and communications tasks.
Duties
· Develop reports, manuscripts, presentations, and other publications
· Conduct literature reviews and assist with other research projects as requested
· Conduct statistical analyses, interpret findings, and present results in figures and tables
· Coordinate scientific meetings and liaise with staff from Federal agencies and other organizations
· Develop dissemination and communication products for various audiences
- Ensure quality control and protection of Federal data and communication products
- Assist in the company’s corporate marketing and business development efforts.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Communications, or a related field is preferred
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience conducting public health or social science research
- Government contract experience preferred.
Knowledge and Special Skills
· Extensive experience using statistical software programs (e.g., SPSS, SAS, Stata)
· Strong research, analytical, and leadership skills
· Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and interpersonal)
· Must be extremely detail-oriented.
