GENEX Reproductive Program Technician

Position Objective
GENEX is seeking two Reproductive Program Technicians in Columbus to Stoughton, WI area to provide personalized A.I. service and breeding program assistance to customers that will result in improved profit potential for them.

Dane County is 100% dairy emphasis; Wausau, WI is 90% dairy, 10% beef. 
 
Major Areas of Accountability
  • Provide reliable service and sales support to the Breeding Program Specialists by completing all farm records accurately, maintaining and developing high non-return rates, and develop heat detection skills and an understanding of synchronization programs
  • Provide reproductive management expertise to members that will improve reproductive performance in their herds
  • Represent GENEX in a professional manner while carrying out daily activities
  • Assist in achieving desired herd and profit improvement for customers
  • Develop market analysis and support the direct sale of semen and Genex products

Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture or equivalent practical experience and knowledge is preferred
  • Must be an aggressive sales and service person who is self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in heat detection and synchronization programs is helpful
  • Must be dependable with the desire to develop personally and professionally
  • Strong communication and people skills is required
  • Have strong computer skills is required; ability to work with herd management software is a plus
  • Preference will be given to applicants with previous A.I. and large herd experience
  • Must have the ability to pay attention to detail and your surroundings to adhere to safety protocols
  • Applicants must have a valid driver's license for this position
