2019-2020 Engineering Intern

FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEWS:
• SERVICE: Identify, define, organize and implement solutions regarding field service organizations and Quality/Manufacturing, Customer facing
• MATERIALS: Applies basic knowledge of materials science, chemical engineering principles and practices to identify and advance solutions for design, manufacturing, and quality.
Role requires collaboration and communication with cross functional teams; supporting manufacturing operations. Tasks can include, but are not limited to material & process selection, failure analysis, material & chemical characterization, laboratory testing, specification writing, product quality inspections, production process development & validation, material property data.
• PRODUCT DESIGN: Use Solidworks as an engineering tool in the layout, modeling, and analysis of various parts and products. Use innovative thinking and concept generation to invent solutions.
EDUCATION:
• Bachelors in:
o Mechanical, MET, AET, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, Agricultural, Aeronautical, Math, Physics
o Materials Science Engineering , Metallurgical Engineering, Metallurgy, Polymer Materials, Ceramics Engineering, Chemical Engineers, Chemistry
QUALIFICATIONS: • Must be currently enrolled, pursuing a Bachelor's/Master's degree at an accredited four-year university • Ability to complete a 10-12-week assignment, preferred *exceptions athletics, military, etc. • Will work a 40-hour work week for the duration of the internship • 3.0 Min GPA preferred
