Investment Guidance Summer Intern

This role is designed to provide hands on experience to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards of the organization, allowing an opportunity for individuals to apply what they have learned in a classroom environment while gaining new skills in a dynamic professional setting. Specific activities will vary by department.

CUNA Mutual Group is looking for individuals interested in exploring a career in financial advising. This is a role for the person who wants to experience what the day to day life of a financial advisor looks like. Do you have a natural interest in investing and retirement financial planning? Are you interested in learning about how to break into financial planning as a career? Our Investor Guidance Call Center is recruiting for summer interns and we would love to talk to you!

Our ideal candidate:
·        Is curious in exploring a career in financial advising
·        Enjoys flexing their analytical skills but also interested in direct personal interactions with individuals to make the complexity of financial planning simple to understand
·        Is intellectually curious and has the desire to learn

Job Requirements:
·        Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree with major(s) or minor(s) in finance or investment related field
·        Strong communications skills; verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation
·        Enthusiastic and positive attitude with ability to work within a team and independently with direction
·        Basic understanding of investment products and benefit plans such as annuities, defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans
Physical Job Analysis:
