Associate Contract Administrator (Construction Management & Inspection)

This is a rare opportunity to work for the "locally world-famous" (yes, we just quoted ourselves) Construction Management & Inspection (CM&I) division at the City of Carlsbad. CM&I resides in Public Works and oversees all construction activity within the city's right-of-way, all private development grading and improvement construction, as well as provide construction management and inspection for all Capital Improvement Program projects. 
 
CM&I is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is good at multitasking and thrives in a dynamic environment to serve in the position of Associate Contract Administrator. Highly qualified applicants will be those who are self-motivated, have a can-do attitude, a high attention to detail, and a knack for sorting, tracking and reconciling documents across various platforms. This position will work closely with an experienced contract administrator to process various types of documents to ensure compliance and support our division of seventeen professionals while we work hard to protect the best interests of the city and our residents. The position interacts with all city departments, the public and contractors so rock-star customer service skills are a must.

Experience & Education
Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. Typically requires at least 1 year's experience where the primary responsibility is providing a key support role in the purchasing of goods or procurement of services and/or contract administration. High school education or GED.
