Scenic Bluffs Community Health Centers is an independent, non-profit healthcare provider, caring for Western Wisconsin. We provide medical, dental, chiropractic, massage therapy, acupuncture, behavioral health, health education and pharmacy services for patients in Monroe, Vernon, Crawford and La Crosse counties.

Scenic Bluffs Community Health Centers is looking for a Full-Time Privacy & Health Information Coordinator to join our team in Cashton, WI. This individual is responsible for oversight of the day to day operations and function of Health Information Management Team. This position oversees all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to the organization’s policies and procedures covering the privacy of, and access to, patient health information and records in compliance with federal and state laws and Scenic Bluffs Community Health Center’s information privacy practices.

Required Education and/or Experience
·        The individual must have an Associate’s degree in Health Information Management or equivalent degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CCS and/or rHIT certifications preferred.
·        This position requires that the individual possess supervisory skills, including appropriate staff communication and the ability to ensure timely completion of team projects and tasks. The individual must respect the confidentiality of patient information while performing job duties and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and public. The individual must also possess excellent understanding of prevailing standards of medical practice, and the ability to constructively participate in a clinical quality improvement. The position includes having to meet deadlines, deal effectively with time pressures and stress and write reports and correspondence. Intermediate math skills and legible handwriting is a must. Quality, accuracy, thoroughness, timeliness and reliability of work performed are essential.
