Web Design Assistant

Housing Navigation Services:
Dane County continues to face challenges for individuals and families to find affordable housing. Not only are their a limited number of affordable units, but navigating the system to find these units can be challenging for people who are often facing many other issues that complicate the process. Factors such as limited income or lack of favorable housing history and complicating issues such as substance abuse and mental illness often slow the process of finding housing to a stand-still. For these reasons Housing Navigation is a critical tool to ensure that all individuals and families who are trying to find housing can access housing.

Minimum Qualifications qualified applicant must have at least one of the following qualifications:

  • At least an associates degree, bachelor's degree OR current enrollment in an Academic Institution
  • Experience creating & editing Wordpress websites
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite - graphic design experience
  • Effective & reliable communication skills to work directly with managers & coworkers
  • Consistent effort & professional work ethic
  • Organized, self-starting and detail orientated

Web Design Intern

a. Designing and implementing new content, pages, landing pages, features and functionality
b. Establishing, revising, and guiding the architecture of Housing Navigation services and related websites
c. Helping formulate an effective, responsive design that offers a consistent user experience across all online properties
d. Keep up to date with current and emerging design trends

The Web Design Intern will be instrumental in building our programs presence on the web ans social media; working closely with the Housing and Community Educator and Housing Navigation staff members.
