CASA (Center for Awareness of Sexual Assault) Victim Services Coordinator

Position Available: CASA (Center for Awareness of Sexual Assault) Victim Services Coordinator
The person in this position is an employee of the Family Support Center, a community- based agency, while the duties of the job are located primarily on the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire campus. This position provides services to victims of sexual assault and dating violence in Eau Claire, primarily students at UWEC.  Direct client services include provision of supportive counseling to victims and advocacy for interactions with various university offices, city and county law enforcement, prosecutors and the court system.  This position also engages in extensive outreach within UWEC to facilitate client referrals and ensure that victims are aware of services available, including training University staff on responding to sexual assault victims. This position is 35 hours per week plus occasional weekend on-call shifts. Benefits include health insurance, vacation and sick leave.
Qualifications: Minimum degree required is a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Women’s Studies or other human services related field. Other qualifications include knowledge and understanding of the impact of sexual assault and domestic violence on victims, previous work with people in crisis, strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. A qualified candidate should also have experience in program planning, creation and implementation.  Please send resume, cover letter, names and contact information for three work related references (2 from supervisors), and philosophy statement on providing advocacy to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence to Geri Segal at familysupport@fsccf.org or mail to Family Support Center, P.O.
