Manager In Training

Menards in Burlington, WI is hiring Manager Trainees! Our Manager Trainee Program is second to none in the industry! Manager Trainees participate in a comprehensive 3-1/2 month on-the-job training program. Manager Trainees rotate through four quadrants of training and will work in five departments within the store. Manager Trainees gain lots of knowledge and are exposed to multiple sides of store operations.

Upon completing the Manager Trainee Program, you will relocate and take the first step into Management as an Assistant Department Manager. There are 3 ways to qualify for our Manager Trainee Program.

Degreed Manager Trainee (MT): You must have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree from a regionally accredited United States college or university. Degreed Manager Trainees, as a condition of their employment, must select 10 markets that they are willing and able to relocate to.

Technically Trained Manager Trainee (MIT): You must have an Associates Degree in Retail Management, Marketing, Business, Accounting, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Hardware Merchandising, or Industrial Technology (construction related) AND two years post Associate's Degree work experience OR a Non-MT qualifying Bachelor's Degree with a minor in Business or Marketing. Technically Trained Manager Trainees, as a condition of their employment, must select 7 markets that they are willing and able to relocate to.

Non-Degreed Manager in Training (MIT): Non-Degreed Manager Trainees are required to have four years of post high school work experience. Non-Degreed Manager Trainees, as a condition of their employment, must select 5 markets that they are willing and able to relocate to.
