Management Intern

The Management Internship is a 12-week PAID hands on training experience at our Burlington WI store. If selected for the Program, you will be placed in one of our departments to work directly with an experienced management team. They will teach you the necessary skills to be successful with Menards. You will have the opportunity to develop stronger organizational, communication and time management skills, as well as the opportunity to gain hands-on management experience.

When you first start out in the Internship, you will work directly with a department's management team for the first four weeks to learn what tasks they are responsible for, as well as to gain an understanding of what tasks our Team Members must complete on a daily basis. The following eight weeks, you will be responsible for managing a section of the department on your own. In your final week, you will work directly with our General Managers and gain experience in other departments in the store to give you the overview of our entire store.

In addition to the hands-on experience, you will be responsible for completing a variety of projects to help you bridge the classroom-reality gap. You will need to plan a department meeting, conduct new product research, and write a SWOT Analysis just to list a few.

To qualify for the Management Internship, you must be within THREE semesters of graduation and pursuing a degree accepted into our Manager Trainee Program. Additionally, you must be available to work 40 hours per week and have a desire to pursue a retail management career. You must possess enthusiasm and the drive to be successful! We are looking for only the best and brightest for our Program!
