Position Summary - Mechanical Engineering Fall Intern (part-time)
Work closely with and assist engineers in the conduct of various engineering assignments. This is an part-time internship opportunity.

Primary & Essential Accountabilities
  • Work closely with and assist engineers in the conduct of various engineering assignments
  • Carry out basic work instructions that will help in understanding the fundamentals of the company and also learn new things
  • Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers
  • Completing assigned tasks on time
  • Gather and assemble data for engineers
  • May be required to help in research in a particular field
  • Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers
  • Assist engineers with appropriate design details
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
  • Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software to develop new or improved products
  • Create and release engineering drawings and documents using PLM systems
  • Produce 3-D printed parts and maintain printer.
  • Assemble prototypes
  • Support testing of products.

High School Diploma/GED; Some progress towards college degree in engineering field
 
Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a 4 year Mechanical Engineering program.
  • At least 2 years of college completed with 3.0 GPA
  • AutoCAD or Creo preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Work effectively as a member of a team
