Compensation Specialist, Total Rewards Partner

LifeWay Human Resources Department, Total Rewards Team, is seeking a Compensation Specialist, Total Rewards Partner, to join our amazing team!
 
LifeWay is one of the larger employers in Nashville and is a faith-based non-profit organization serving the greater evangelical churches worldwide with a comprehensive array of products and services. 

The Compensation Specialist, Total Rewards Partner oversees and administers compensation and performance related systems, processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • PLAN ADMINISTRATION. Recommends, develops, implements and administers the job pricing policy and practice for the organization. Administers all aspects of base and variable pay programs including annual reviews, bonus programs and short-term incentive plans.
  • ADVISE & ASSIST. Counsels and advises managers regarding total rewards, most specifically on compensation-related matters. Assist with interpreting, creating and communicating compensation policies to employees at various levels of the organization.
  • SPECIAL PROJECTS. Collaborates with Associate Director, HR Business Partners, and Total Rewards team members on a variety of comp related projects including program design, analysis, implementation and administration.
  • RESEARCH. Monitors and analyzes trends in total rewards and recommends continuing improvement in our total rewards practice. Participates in annual compensation surveys.
  • SYSTEM UPDATES. Work with HR Technology to ensure the HR system (currently PeopleSoft) meets compensation needs and is aligned with market pricing software, reflects changes made in salary structures.
  • PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT. Supports performance management and reward tools and processes for the organization in order to create and maintain a results-oriented work culture.
  • SELF-AUDIT & COMPLIANCE. Complete MarketPay and FLSA audits on all positions to ensure that positions are properly slotted and classified correctly. Stay current on regulatory compliance issues, recommend actions to mitigate the organization’s risk and ensure compliance.
 

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in compensation and Total Rewards knowledge
  • Proficiency in employment and wage and hour law
  • Must be technically adept able to work with multiple Microsoft applications and HRIS experience  
  • PeopleSoft and MarketPay experience a plus
  • Advanced technical skills in Excel, PowerPoint, completing job survey instruments
  • Expert interpersonal skills; team and collaborative skills
  • Able to partner and collaborate with team members and business leaders
  • Ability to analyze complex compensation and benefits information
  • High work capacity, dependable, results-oriented and strong sense of urgency
  • Excellent organization skills; attention to detail a must
  • Appropriately operate with frequent access to sensitive and confidential information
 
Required Experience:
  •  Bachelor's degree - REQUIRED
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in base and variable pay compensation - REQUIRED
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive HR experience - REQUIRED
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CPP), Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) or related certification earned or in process - REQUIRED
