Property Assessor | City of Eau Claire

If so, the City of Eau Claire is currently accepting applications for a Property Assessor position in the Assessing Division of the Finance Department. This position appraises and develops estimates of market value and assessed values for all taxable property within assigned areas of the City. This position requires a motivated individual with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and analytical/critical thinking skills. Understanding of the real estate market is a plus.

The ideal candidate is required to have a four year degree, or an equivalent combination of training and experience, with a major in real estate, finance or similar field; and must possess and maintain a valid Wisconsin driver’s license. Must be able to obtain and maintain State of Wisconsin certification at the level of Assessor 1 within one month of hire and certification at the level of Assessor 2 within one year of hire.

Salary range: $25.24 to $32.42 per hour, depending on qualifications & experience plus excellent fringe benefits.
