Meteorologist

Are you a morning person by nature, looking for that next job in TV weather? WEAU-TV in Eau Claire, Wisconsin is seeking an experienced meteorologist to join our 3-person weather team that will take charge of our two and a half hour morning news segment “Hello Wisconsin”. We are seeking a candidate that will bring high energy and enthusiasm each morning to complement our current morning show team. Ideally, candidates will have a meteorology degree with 1-2 years of on-camera experience, along with knowledge of the WSI-MAX weather system, including Storm, Engage, and Connect. 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to:

Forecasting, producing and presenting all Monday thru Friday weather segments from 4:30-7am and the noon show. You will also participate in other light news/fun segments as produced. Broadcasting live and recorded radio hits daily. The ability to present live, in the field weather reports.

We provide weather information on multiple platforms that require updates throughout the day, so in addition to your television broadcast duties, you will be expected to produce daily content for WEAU.com, our mobile weather app., and for our strong and growing social media audience. School visits and other public appearances on behalf of the station.
