Entertainment Journalist Internship

Our ideal candidate is someone who lives and breathes the entertainment world. You love movies and television so much you can't even function without checking out the latest casting news, new reviews, release dates, or buzz regarding your most anticipated projects!

We want to work with a few good writers that are looking to become GREAT writers!

They will encompass the following qualities. By applying, you are saying you have all these qualities in you RIGHT NOW.

  • Has impeccable copy editing skills and great judgment. They know how to edit a copy for sensitivity, accuracy, inclusiveness, and consistency without losing tone or voice.
  • They are also CONSTANTLY thinking about the evolution of language in the internet era, recognizing when it’s important to deviate from the AP Style and help us evolve our own.
  • They are deeply and soulfully PASSIONATE about film, TV, and pop culture.
  • Is dedicated to giving themselves to the writing craft and this entertainment publication at least 8 hours per week.

The candidate can also answer the following questions in their interview, no hesitation, no hiccups, and with great reasoning and analysis:

  • What is the most IMPORTANT film that exists to you?
  • What is your favorite television show of all-time?
  • Who are your Top 2 favorite actors and actresses working TODAY?
  • Who is your favorite director, in film or television?
  • What is the greatest film and television show that you believe did NOT receive the proper awards attention from the Academy Awards and Emmys?

They will work in concert with owner and editor to push and maintain the Style Guide.

Must know Wordpress.

Three entertainment writing samples will be required. In particular, one film review, one television review, and an opinion article on any entertainment subject.
