Data Analyst/Developer Intern

**Please note this is a year round internship. 20 + hours / week during the academic year.**
 
TDS is looking to hire a Data Analyst/Developer Intern! As a Data Analyst/Developer Intern you will gain invaluable hands-on experience gathering and outputting data from various TDS Telecom systems to enable data-driven decisions made by leadership across the organization. We are looking for students with strong analytical and programming skills who possess the ability to work with data from a variety of sources for complex analysis. You will use tools and languages such as: SQL, Python, and Microsoft SharePoint, as well as other analytical tools and technologies.
 
School is top priority so TDS offers very flexible schedules, while requiring you to work at least 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Reporting & Metric Development
Design automated reports and metrics to summarize and analyze data. Help architect solutions through research, design, coding and testing that aggregate information from multiple data systems to support data-driven decision making.
 
Project Management
Support information gathering sessions with business process owners to understand data requirements and objectives. Assist project leads and provide technical guidance for the design, development, and implementation of customer centric solutions.
 
Dynamic Delivery of Content
Develop dynamic web products that deliver content to audiences throughout the organization. Design, implement and maintain Tableau dashboards , graphics, forms, and workflow solutions hosted on the TDS Telecom Intranet.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Earned or currently pursuing an Associates degree (or higher) in IT, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field, -OR- 2 years of combined education and work experience
  • 1 (+) semesters of web programming coursework -OR- 1 (+) semesters of programming coursework
  • 1 (+) semesters of relational database coursework
Other Qualifications
  • Experience with specific Business Intelligence tools – Alteryx, Tableau, Python, and/or SAP Business Object
  • Database development experience
  • JavaScript experience, including libraries/frameworks – jQuery, ReactJS, Angular
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Access, and Excel
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Desire to learn new software tools and is a proven self-starter
