IT Specialist- Internship

JOB SUMMARY
This position assists in providing in-house technical support for all end users of the company.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are essential job responsibilities:

1.     Provide in-house technical support and training for end users of the company’s personal computer hardware and software.

2.     Installing personal computer hardware and software; selecting appropriate hardware configurations and options.

3.     Ensuring the smooth operation of hardware systems by coordinating maintenance and repairs for personal computers.

4.     Maintain system security; network and core banking applications.

5.     Assist in the documentation of all network systems and procedures.

  • PC, phone system, general office equipment  
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, office and IBM compatible PC                    
  • Ability to effectively explain and problem-solve with customers over the phone and in person;
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with strong research skills
  • Ability to travel to different locations; some overnight travel may be required

Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

Representation:
Ability to represent the bank in a professional and positive manner.

Compliance:
Uphold the bank’s philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of the bank.

Attendance:
Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Education Required/ Preferred:
Pursuing a two year or four year degree in Information Technology or related field
