Position Summary:
The Department of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (JSMBS) at the University at Buffalo (UB) has an open position for a new instructor who will teach medical, dental, and undergraduate students in the anatomical sciences. This is a full-time, 12-month instructor position (permanent position possible). Lecture/lab coursework involves anatomical disciplines including gross anatomy, histology, and neuroscience. The applicant must have a proven track record in skilled teaching of anatomical sciences at the professional school level, and familiarity with computational methods applied to the anatomical sciences.
UB is the flagship teaching and research campus of the State University of New York system, the largest such system in the nation. JSMBS is expanding and integrating into the Buffalo community with a newly opened downtown medical campus.
Salary: $55,000 – $80,000

Minimum Qualifications:
• A MD or PhD in Anatomical Sciences or a related field
• Previous experience teaching human gross anatomy (including experience in dissection of human cadavers), histology, and neuroanatomy

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with computation methods applied to any of the anatomical sciences
• Advanced knowledge and skills in using various educational technologies for course teaching.
