Take the project we’re now working on. You will be a key member of a team that is developing simulation tool technologies to support real-world planning operations for the Department of Defense. The multi-disciplinary collaborative team of engineers and scientists researching and developing these technologies are part of our employee-owned international research and engineering company. - You will use your expertise in areas such as uncertainty analysis and predictive modeling to develop models that predict event outcomes.
- The experience you’ve gained modeling uncertainties and developing solutions using tools such as Matlab, R, or Python will be essential for you to quickly establish your role as a key member of the development team.
- You will apply technologies in multiple domain/problem areas (cyber network modeling, physics, statistics, and machine learning to name a few).
- You will apply your knowledge to solve challenging, cutting edge real-world customer problems and communicate complex concepts to non-expert audiences.
- You will develop algorithms and apply OO principles in C++, Java, Python, or Matlab to create solutions to challenging problems.
- You will be working closely with a collaborative team so your team player personality and excellent written/oral communication skills will be essential.
Required Skills:
- Developing mathematical models to real world applications
- Uncertainty quantification and development of statistical models
- Experience with cyber security and network modeling
- Predictive modeling using data science or machine learning techniques
- Verification and validation of mathematical models

If you can accomplish the above, you’ve got what it takes. Realistically though, you need a MS in Applied Math, Statistics, Data Science or a related field. Also we’d love to see examples of algorithms you have developed.
Due to the work you’ll perform and interactions with intelligence community and DoD programs you will need to be a US citizen with an active DoD Security Clearance or eligible to obtain one (selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements at the time of employment).
