Academic Internship - December 2019 - April 2020

Deer Valley Resort offers a variety of academic internships for students studying Hospitality, Outdoor Recreation, Hotel & Restaurant Managment, Tourism, and more. Deer Valley Resort Internships provide you with great work experience and memories to last. Last year, we had 20 interns with us for the winter season. 
 
Internship Details:
- Studying a degree related to the internship
- Must be able to start work before December 20th and available to work majority of our ski season (Ski Season Dates are  December 7, 2019 - April 12, 2020)
- Must be able to work full time hours, 
- Dorm-styled Housing is guaranteed
- Park City offers a free bus line that runs frequently so no car is necessary
- Events during Internship: Intern Welcome in January, Intern Mixer, and Intern Farewell in April 
Below are the following internship opportunities that we have available at Deer Valley Resort:
Lodging Internship: Work in one of our ten lodges as a guest services agent, assist with guest and owner check-in, concierge duties including transportation, dining, and activity reservations. Settle guest blanaces upon check-out, handle cash and credit card transactions, and other duties as assigned. Must be 21 years old in the event of operating a company vehicle. 
Food & Beverage Internship: Assist the Day Operations Manager in one of the Day Lodge Restaurants. Based on previous work experience, work as a supervisor over the day operations, train and supervise staff, assist with beverage product inventory, assist with special events and banquets. Must be 21 years old in order to sell alcohol in the state of UT.
Mountain Operations Internship: Work directly with our Mountain Venue Operations Department on the race hill. Set-up/operate/maintain/break down the venue, venue rope line, race finish and start area, record, display, and announce racer finish times. Provide guests with racevenue information and quality guest service. Assist in the operations of special events during the winter season. Requires intermediate skiing ability, able to work outdoors in various conditions. 
Skier Services Sales Internship: Work in one of our sales locations and assist guests by booking ski lessons, ski rentals and children's center activities, selling lift tickets and processing payments. Must have strong computer skills and able to learn multiple online systems, assist with marketing survey on-mountain.
