Quality Assurance Intern/Co-op

Overview

We are looking for Quality interns or co-ops starting in Fall 2019. The Quality Assurance Intern will prepare clear, complete and accurate Quality documents, flow charts from rough or outlines of a procedure and apply them to a specific document format by performing the following duties.


Responsibilities

  • Upholds Andis Core Values of Excellence, Integrity, and Respect in all work-related activities. 
  • Creates or updates specific written procedures, documents, flowcharts as required. This work is done under close direction from a Quality Engineer, Supervisor or Quality Manager. 
  • Enters raw data collected from various production operations into the appropriate programmer spread sheets. 
  • Collect and correlate gage/fixture information  
  • Perform process and product audits (as needed) 
  • Utilizes knowledge of engineering practices, mathematics, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
  • Have the ability to make small design changes to 3D models previously created using the Solid Works program.

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Must be enrolled in an accredited technical school studying toward an associate degree in mechanical design or equivalent. Must have and maintain a minimum G.P.A. of 3.00/4.0.  
  • Proficient in MS Office, preferably Word and Excel. Experience with AutoCAD is a plus. 
  • Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write Engineering Change Notices and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Engineers, Designers, supervisors and peers. 
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. 
 
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 
  
Any certificate in AutoCAD training would be useful.
