Civil Engineer Internship
General Description:
Wells Concrete has an opportunity for a Civil Engineering Intern in its Fargo, ND and Minneapolis, MN location for the summer of 2019. We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong interest in Civil/Structural engineering and site development that is currently enrolled in their final two years of a civil engineering curriculum or a graduate student
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting team members in the following: research, drafting, calculations, construction and manufacturing process review
- Responsible for performing general administrative tasks. Administrative responsibilities include: online research, project filing, plan or report reproduction, and other general administrative tasks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- It is preferred that the individual have a strong interest in site development along with a general understanding of construction and design
- The Civil Engineering Intern should have a strong mathematic background and basic understanding of engineering principles and terms.
- The ability to multi-task while keeping attention to detail, along with good organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Ability to complete and maintain accurate records and reports.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Currently enrolled in the final two years of a civil engineering curriculum or a graduate student.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work is performed in an office or outdoors, with infrequent exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
