Cornerstone Intern
The Heartland Cornerstone Internship is a yearlong internship program that provides work study in a Christ-centered community set apart to discern a call to youth ministry, camp ministry or other careers. Participants will spend 11 1/2 months of the year serving, living and studying together. A highlight of the experience is the trip of the lifetime in the Winter/Spring term when we travel to Israel. All those in the Cornerstone Program will serve at a church as a youth or children's ministry intern for 10 hours of each week. They will also spend 30 hours of their work week learning all sides of camp and conference ministry at Heartland Center. There is an opportunity to serve in our program, hospitality and maintenance departments throughout the year. The final three months of the program are spent serving on Heartland Camps' summer staff in the position that best fits their leadership skills. Overall, the environment those in the Cornerstone Internship live and grow in ways that prepare them for careers in ministry, non-profit management, education and many other paths.
