Grant Writing & Marketing Coordinator Intern Fall 2019

The Laura and Peter Mossakowski Family Dog Park is seeking an individual to step into an internship role to help their non-profit organization continue forward progress in the community. Our all-volunteer committee currently works to try to grow the new park in the community as further phases of the park are developed. The committee needs an intern that is self-motivated and detail oriented, has a desire to work with social media and other electronic outlets, as well as help the community to continue to grow the existing park. It is expected that the intern be available to work in the role for 10 hours/week.
This intern should be prepared to work independently as well as in a team environment, and will finish the internship having gained experience in various aspects of marketing, grant writing, and social media management.
This intern will report weekly to the assigned supervisor for this role. Progress reports will be necessary to keep the Dog Park Board apprised of developments with grant writing, social media and marketing.
Responsibilities
·    Attend monthly meetings (If unable to attend, provide a report for the meetings on progress)
·    Research available Grants the Dog Park qualifies for
·    Apply for 2-3 Grants per month for the Dog Park
·    Keep detailed logs of research and applications for Grants
·    Create electronic marketing materials for events
·    Manage and provide feedback on social media outlets for the park
·    Work with the committee with concerns or contacts made via social media
·    Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials and fundraising items
·    Provide support to social media efforts
·    Assist with safety and park interest campaigns
·    Assist with organization of volunteers for activities and events
·    Report to a committee member with progress or questions
Requirements
The Laura and Peter Mossakowski Family Dog Park Committee is looking for an undergraduate student in the Green Bay area who is able to help with the Grant Writing Campaign as well as Marketing and Public Relations. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Web and social media. Word and Excel experience is a bonus. It is expected that the intern spends 10 hours per week on the internship responsibilities outlined and communicate with an assigned committee member with progress and questions relating to the internship.
