Social Media Specialist Intern/Volunteer
Project Summary:
Generations Against Bullying (GAB) is seeking a skilled Social Media Specialist to manage GAB’s overall presence on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Google+ and others, often using Buffer, and effectively execute social media strategies that support GAB’s audience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Update and maintain GAB’s blog and social media with day-to-day activities
· Monitoring links and pages on sites regularly to ensure that information is current and functional.
· Assist and oversee the management, creation, development, and delivery of GAB’s social programs
· Run regular fundraising drives via social media, our website, email and crowdfunding sites
· Manage online discussions by paying close attention to what the users are saying, reading discussion forums, and responding in a timely manner to the user’s needs, as well soliciting input from volunteers, members and followers to make sure we’re in tune with them
· Work closely with GAB office personnel and webmaster
Qualifications:
· Must be trained in various social media platforms and, preferably, experienced with Buffer, and most social media, as well as Constant Contact and other software
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities and interact with a wide range of people
· Extremely organized, analytical and detail-oriented, and have excellent time management skills
· Able to work independently as well as in a team, and flexible to changes
· Able to define priorities and work within deadlines
· Punctual, diligent, honest, reliable, and able to work smartly
· Pleasant with others on the job and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
